I am just starting my business. What are the things I need to do??
First, make sure you don't combine your personal finances and your business finances. Call us (or your tax professional) to discuss the structure of your business and your future books and taxes. Setting up your business for success includes setting up your books. This will greatly decrease your risk and stress when the time comes to file your tax returns.
What if I don’t know what I need?
That’s okay. Starting a business can be overwhelming. We’re here to talk you through it and help you figure out what your business needs are. Our free 15-minute consultation is the best place to start. Though we may not offer all the services your business needs, we are happy to provide referrals to local businesses who do good work.
I don’t have any employees yet. Can you still help me?
Yes! No business is too small. Even if you don’t have employees, we can get your books and business set up for whenever your business is ready for employees.
Should I organize everything before contacting you?
No! We really mean it when we say nothing is too messy for us to handle. To get your books organized, we’ll need to do a thorough review, so we don’t advise waiting because oftentimes organizing receipts and invoices and other paperwork only delays you getting the help your business needs now.
Can you help me figure out my business taxes?
Yes. We understand that taxes can be intimidating. We can help you file your business tax return, including payroll, and pay your quarterly taxes or provide you with the resources to pay them yourself. We can also clean up your books before tax time and help with tax return preparation.
